Encounters at the gym in 2008 sparked a new direction for Gregory Fleming. While working out, his dedication and physique caught the attention of fellow gym-goers who kept asking him to train them. This unexpected demand planted a seed in Gregory’s mind. Maybe, he thought, this was his calling.

Taking action, Gregory approached his mentor, who owned a gym, and said, “People keep asking me to train them, I think I’m meant to do this. I want to learn everything I need to know.”

Recognizing Gregory’s potential, his mentor did more than just offer encouragement.  He surprised Gregory by covering the cost of his $600 certification and generously passed on his own expertise, taking Gregory under his wing.

Fast forward 8 years to 2016. Gregory, now known as Coach G, had transformed his passion into a reality. He opened the doors of his own gym, BestBody Fitness.

Coach G. offers different plans to get anyone started in fitness. You could choose a month-to-month plan, a 6-month plan, a one year plan, or the most popular, the 90-day-SHRED.

“It is our three month program where we set you up with a meal plan,” Coach G said. “Also, we set you up with a customized training plan to help you lose 10 to 20 pounds in the first 90 days.”

Coach G alters each plan to meet the needs of the athlete. For the meal plan, he sends them emails with videos teaching them how to eat and what to eat. For personal training, he sees where they’re at for the first week and adjusts the plan accordingly.

“I get so many different people with so many different backgrounds,” he said. “I had people that have never exercised before, people that played hockey, people that played football.”

But his calling isn’t just about training people, it’s about seeing them succeed. He had one client in her early fifties that looked at her drivers license photo and realized how slim her face had gotten. She told him it made her recognize the amount of weight she lost, her new energy, and strength. She could finally do more activities with her grandkids.

“I love seeing people change, and watching their reactions when they see changes,” he said.

With over 15 years of experience and countless certifications, Coach G isn’t just passionate about fitness, it’s his calling. He empowers people to reach their full potential by providing them with the tools they need to transform their bodies and become the best versions of themselves.

Employees of CVS or FedEX can work out at BestBody Fitness for free.
